Smeuse Equine was built from my lifelong love of horses and photography. Each of these has been my main focus over the past 20 years, with a career spanning photojournalism and teaching.

This experience, along with my kind and patient nature allows me to create images that will result in a lifelong memory of your beautiful animals.

Living in the countryside and working alongside animals gives us a real intuition about the environment that surrounds us - seeing a hare on your 6am walk with the dog, or the deer that crosses your path while you are riding on a bridleway, noticing a fox as he runs through a smeuse in the hedge bottom. These details are really special. They remind us of how lucky we are. These moments are what inspired my choice of name for my business. An ancient and long-lost word to describe the fabric of our beautiful countryside.

Attention to detail and a real understanding of my subjects are my key values. I hope to capture the essence of your horse - their character and their quirks, those silent moments where you both understand each other, that respect and love that comes from a partnership that only a horse and rider can understand.

All my prints are of the highest quality, using archival inks that are guaranteed to last for 100 years.
